According to the head of the National Meteorological Administration (ANM), Elena Mateescu, the extremely cold weather will be replaced by higher temperatures starting Wednesday. Meteorologists forecast maximum values of up to 10 degrees Celsius and minimums ranging between -6 and 3 degrees across the entire country.
In the mountainous area, minimums will vary from -13 degrees in northern Moldavia to 2 degrees in southern Banat, while in Bucharest, minimums are expected to be between -9 and -6 degrees. Mateescu emphasized that by the end of the week, positive temperatures will be recorded, with maximums between 1 and 10 degrees. This change will bring an improvement in weather conditions, with minimums showing a slight increase, which will enhance thermal comfort throughout the country.
