A 43-year-old man was seriously injured in an ATV accident in Petrila, Petroșani

On Tuesday afternoon, a 43-year-old man suffered serious injuries following an ATV accident in the 'Dealul Crucii' area, in the town of Petrila. Due to the rough terrain and the long distance to the incident site, the SMURD Petroșani teams, Ambulance, and County Public Service Salvamont requested the intervention of a SMURD helicopter, according to information provided by the Hunedoara Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU).

At the scene, rescuers found that the victim had fractures and severe injuries. After providing first aid, the man was prepared for air transport and was taken by the SMURD helicopter to UPU Petroșani for investigations and specialized medical care.
