Red intervention plan activated after an accident at the exit from Avrig: Four cars and 15 people involved

A road accident that occurred on DN 1, on Monday afternoon at the exit from Avrig, Sibiu County, led to a complete blockage of traffic and the activation of the Red Intervention Plan.

The accident involved four cars and 15 people, according to initial information from the authorities. The incident took place on the road section between Bradu and Avrig, where traffic police intervened to manage traffic and support rescue teams. Traffic was completely stopped, causing significant congestion in the area. Initially, two SMURD teams, one ambulance team from Sibiu, a fire truck, and one for first intervention were mobilized at the scene.

Due to the large number of victims, the intervention was extended with an additional SMURD ambulance and a vehicle for transporting victims. The Red Intervention Plan was activated to manage the situation with multiple victims, and the authorities continue to provide medical care and coordinate the intervention.
