Horea Tudor Vușcan, a businessman from Oradea, has placed a lien on the assets of the company that manages Salina Turda, one of the most important tourist attractions in Transylvania. This action was prompted by a debt of over 9 million lei that the Turda City Hall had to recover. Although the forced execution was initiated in 2021, it was suspended in 2022 and resumed in 2024, with the City Hall now contesting the execution.

Vușcan took over the debts of the City Hall to a transport company, and the court rejected a request to validate the lien, establishing that income from dividends cannot be pursued by creditors. The Turda City Hall warns that losing control over the Salina would have a devastating impact on the community, affecting the local economy and tourism, considering that the Salina has generated significant revenue and attracted hundreds of thousands of tourists. The deadline for the trial is set for December 9, 2025.
