Prosecutors from the Prosecutor's Office next to the Bucharest Tribunal have ordered the seizure of a house and two plots of land owned by influencer Alexandru Zidaru, known as Makaveli, in a tax evasion case. The total damage attributed to Makaveli is 531,047 lei, of which 235,348 lei represents the main tax obligation, while the rest are accessory tax obligations.
The influencer was detained for 24 hours but was placed under judicial control for 60 days, with the obligation not to leave the country and to wear an electronic monitoring device. It is suspected that between 2021 and 2024, Makaveli concealed income of 3,324,147 lei to avoid paying taxes, thus causing damage to the state budget.
The seizure measure was taken to guarantee the recovery of damages. Makaveli was an advisor to Diana Șoșoacă and ran for the Capital City Hall, withdrawing in favor of Ancă Alexandrescu.
