Sector 3 of Bucharest currently has 80,000 residential parking spaces, the largest number among all six sectors of the Capital, which represents almost 40% of the total available parking spaces in Bucharest. This achievement is the result of a constant effort by the Sector 3 City Hall to reorganize and modernize public spaces, including sidewalks and green areas. However, the need for parking remains a challenge, considering that there are over 300,000 registered cars in the sector.
To maximize the use of space, the City Hall has implemented a flexible parking permit system, both nominal and non-nominal, which allows the use of parking spaces throughout the area. This integrated approach aims not only to create parking spaces but also to arrange sidewalks and green areas, ensuring a balance between the needs of drivers and pedestrians. The City Hall will continue to expand and modernize parking infrastructure, alongside sustainable urban development.
