Burduja was reported to the National Council for Combating Discrimination (CNCD) by the Union of Employees of the Government's Own Apparatus, after he made controversial statements on a television channel. He categorized public sector employees into three groups: incompetents, those who supplement their income, and crazy people. The Union believes that these statements are discriminatory and stigmatizing, affecting the dignity of public sector employees.

Burduja later clarified on Facebook that the term "crazy" referred to competent employees who work out of devotion, but the Union emphasized that his statements have created a hostile climate. In the complaint addressed to the CNCD, it is requested to establish harassment and apply the appropriate sanctions, highlighting that Burduja's statements not only stigmatize but also contribute to the perpetuation of prejudices related to mental health.
