On Wednesday, the police officers of the Economic Crime Investigation Service Sector 5, coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, carried out two searches in Bucharest and Ilfov County, in a criminal case concerning fraud, material forgery in official documents, and use of forgery.

Between May 2024 and June 2025, two administrators of a real estate company allegedly misled eight individuals by presenting apartments as being free of encumbrances, although they had already been sold or mortgaged. The suspects caused the victims to sign pre-sale contracts, citing reduced costs and difficulties in concluding official contracts. The total damage is estimated at approximately 330,000 euros. The suspected individuals have been identified and will be heard, and the investigations continue under the supervision of the competent authorities.
