The Superior Council of the Magistracy (SCM) has debunked the myth that judges retire at 48, pointing out that the average retirement age during the period under review was around 52 years and 3 months. Of the 35 retired judges, only 5 were aged 48, most of them older, including over 67. The SJC warns that spreading this misinformation contributes to misinformation and antagonization towards judges.
