The Energy Participation Management Company (SAPE) has announced the signing of a financing contract for the construction of the CET Titan Heating Power Plant, an essential project for the energy infrastructure of Bucharest. The contract, worth approximately 289 million lei, will allow for the purchase of necessary equipment and the execution of construction works.
CET Titan will produce 400 GWh of electricity and 200 GWh of thermal energy annually, contributing to increased energy efficiency and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. The project is the first of its kind built from scratch in Bucharest since 1979 and will utilize modern cogeneration technologies, having an overall energy efficiency of approximately 90%.
SAPE reaffirms its commitment to developing sustainable projects and modernizing energy infrastructure, considering the expansion of production and storage capacities of energy from renewable sources. The implementation of the CET Titan project will take approximately 14 months, and SAPE aims to continue developing strategic partnerships in the energy sector.
