Iulian Pope, first vice-president of the Sanitas Federation, stated that there is significant pressure from workers in the healthcare and social assistance system to initiate protests, including spontaneous strikes. The unionists have notified the Government of their intention to organize a general strike, awaiting an invitation to negotiations within 10 days.
Pope emphasized that, regardless of the type of strike, emergencies will be ensured according to the law. He warned the government to prepare for a strong reaction from employees dissatisfied with the lack of staff and salary cuts. Sanitas recently criticized government measures, including the loss of allowances and bonuses, and has started gathering signatures for the general strike.
