The company Sameday, part of the eMAG group, announced that it will withdraw from the Hungarian market starting in September and will focus its operations on Romania. The decision comes after five years of activity in Hungary, where the company failed to finalize the sale of its subsidiary to an Austrian company, a transaction blocked by Hungarian authorities.

According to information from the Hungarian press, the situation has become unbearable due to local regulations. Sameday will lay off employees in Hungary and will move its network of easyboxes, consisting of approximately 1100 units, to Romania. Some employees have already been informed that they will only be able to work until mid-August. The company has not provided an official response to requests for information from the press.
