Experts have discovered leaks and water sources that could create a risk of subsidence. The project to extend the Salina, which includes modern facilities, is stalled until these problems are resolved. The local authorities have asked for 30 million lei from the state budget, but the economy minister has emphasized that the saltworks is under the administration of the municipality, which complicates the allocation of funds.
