The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, emphasized that Romsilva is facing the lack of a functional Board of Directors, due to the repeated extensions of the members' provisional mandates. This situation has made it impossible to extend the mandate of the provisional director general. Buzoianu noted that a competition for a new Council is underway, but the current legislation needs to be amended to avoid such problems. She stressed the need to reform Romsilva in order to ensure an efficient and non-politicized functioning of the institution.
