The National Forest Administration – Romsilva emphasizes the necessity of a reorganization based on rigorous impact studies, warning that a hasty approach could destabilize forest management and have serious consequences for wood supply for the population and industry. Romsilva manages 3.13 million hectares of forests and provides forestry services for another 1.1 million hectares, playing a strategic role in protecting forest heritage.
In the absence of an impact study, the proposed reorganization could severely affect the institution's activity and, implicitly, national security. Romsilva has initiated an organizational audit, and its results could underpin an effective reorganization. Additionally, the employees' union has recently challenged the reorganization project, demanding compliance with forestry legislation.
