The Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests will organize, for the first time, a public debate for the selection of the interim director general of Romsilva, scheduled for Monday, August 25, 2025. Of the 25 candidates, 17 have been validated. This initiative aims to make the selection process transparent and involve civil society in the choice of the future director. Romsilva's reform, which envisages reducing the number of directors and eliminating privileges, has generated tensions between the ministry and the regie, and the minister explained the need for the reform to improve the institution's financial situation.
