The Romprest company has made serious accusations against the local administration of Sector 1, claiming that the City Hall is deliberately maintaining underfunding of the sanitation service and has withheld overdue payments, despite some final court rulings. Romprest asserts that the underfunding aims to reduce the quality of services, allowing the local authority to invoke non-fulfillment of the contract.

The budget for sanitation in 2025 is lower than that of 2019, while the accumulated arrears exceed 288 million lei, plus penalties of over 100 million lei. The company accuses Sector 1 of abuses, including refusal to pay debts and imposing illegal fines, stating that it continued the service from its own resources to avoid interruptions.

Romprest warns that the unilateral termination of the contract could generate damages of 1.12 billion lei. The company demands immediate payment of the amounts owed and adherence to the contractual framework to protect citizens and prevent cost escalation.
