According to the Romanian Farmers' Association, the 2025 wheat harvest could reach 14 million tons, marking a significant increase compared to 2024, when production was affected by drought. The spring rains have restored soil moisture, contributing to higher crop quality. Although estimates are optimistic, farmers are facing low prices, which is affecting their profitability. Romania will remain the leader in sunflower production and will have an estimated maize output of over 10 million tons.
