Study: "Romanians want a digital state that eliminates bureaucracy and queues at counters and accelerates the modernization of public administration"

At the Digital Governance Summit 2025, held at the Cotroceni Palace under the High Patronage of the President of Romania, the Edge Institute presented a new study on the perception of Romanians regarding the digitization of the state.

Three quarters of Romanians (75.8%) say that Romania needs major changes - a clear indicator of public pressure for modernization. This strongly expressed need aligns with dissatisfaction regarding the current pace of digitization: people no longer want just online services, but a real transformation of the way the state operates.
