In a statement, the Romanian Patriarchate condemns the escalation of domestic violence and murders, such as the recent ones in Cosmopolis and Lipănești. The institution emphasizes that violence goes against Christian teaching and causes deep trauma. Priests are encouraged to support victims and work with the authorities. Since the beginning of the year, 26 women have been killed in Romania, and Filia draws attention to the authorities' lack of reaction after protests for women's safety.
