A new national study conducted by World Vision Romania in partnership with TikTok shows that, although 51% of parents in Romania talk daily with their children about social media use, nearly 70% still do not trust their ability to support them when navigating online.

The study also shows that:

On average, about 46% of parents either do not know about the existence of parental control features on major platforms or do not know how to use them;

TikTok ranks 4th among the most used platforms by Romanian parents (46%) and 2nd in terms of awareness (33.4%) regarding the existence of parental control options.
