The Bellevue police arrested four individuals accused of involvement in a Romanian organized crime group that conducted 'blessing' scams in King County. The suspects, identified as Eduard Căldăraru, Gaspia Gafar, Mariana Boceanu, and Tamara Ghiocel, approached victims in parking lots in Bothell, Renton, and Tukwila, claiming to bless them before stealing their jewelry.

Investigators recovered stolen jewelry, including a necklace with sentimental value. The police observed the theft and stopped the suspects' vehicle, finding the jewelry inside. All four were charged with first-degree theft and attempted theft, and Ghiocel was wanted. Eduard Căldăraru was released on bail, while Gafar and Boceanu await trial. Detectives linked the group to another Romanian couple previously arrested for robbery.
