A 35-year-old Romanian man has been arrested in Italy for attempted murder after he attacked his wife and mother-in-law and then fell from the third floor.

The incident took place in Casarano, Italy, where the man, overcome with rage after his wife asked for a separation, attacked his mother-in-law with scissors. After wounding his wife with a knife, he tried to follow her onto the balcony, but slipped and fell from the third floor, suffering multiple fractures. The victims' testimonies and the evidence presented led to his remand in custody and he will be transferred to prison after his release.
