Police in Belgium and the Criminal Investigation Brigade in Bucharest intervened after a 46-year-old Romanian man was accused of stealing ten long-distance carrier pigeons. He was arrested in Belgium and the searches took place in the village of Magheru in Breznița Ocol, Mehedinți County. The total damage resulting from this crime amounted to €2.5 million, which involved the authorities of both countries.
