In a statement, the Romanian Academy distances itself from any accusation of supporting harmful nationalist, anti-European and anti-NATO ideas. It also dissociates itself from any person who advocates sovereignism, extremist nationalism and pro-Sovereignty, pro-extremist nationalism and pro-Putinist and pro-Putinist views. The leadership of the Romanian Academy emphasizes its pro-Western commitment and supports Romania's Euro-Atlantic integration.
