Ionuț Moșteanu, the Minister of Defense, stated that Romania is testing the Merops anti-drone system, received from the USA, for about two weeks. This system, successfully used in Ukraine, will be integrated into NATO's operational plans. Moșteanu emphasized the importance of its interconnection with NATO command and control systems, considering stricter requirements within the alliance.

He also mentioned that relations with the USA are very good, and the Merops system, which can identify and shoot down drones, is already installed in Poland and Romania. It provides commanders with time to assess threats and decide on actions, protecting critical objectives and military units.
