Bogdan Ivan, the Minister of Energy, announced the adoption by the European Commission of the 'European Package for Energy Networks', a framework that will integrate Romania and Southeast Europe into the map of urgent investments in energy infrastructure. Ivan emphasized the importance of this package, mentioning that the price differences between the West and the region are caused by the lack of modern interconnections.

The package will unlock critical projects, reduce bureaucracy, and accelerate authorizations, thus improving the security of the infrastructure. An important aspect is the inclusion of a project dedicated to stabilizing prices in Southeast Europe, which will help integrate Romanian production into the European market, having the potential to reduce bills for consumers.
