USR Deputy Claudiu Năsui states that Bulgaria buys cheap energy from Romania during the day, stores it, and later sells it at higher prices, while Romania suffers due to insufficient investments in storage capacity. The president of the Smart Energy Association, Dumitru Chisăliță, argues that such a mechanism is possible, but it cannot be demonstrated that the energy exported by Romania is the same that later returns to the country. The expert points out that Romania's main problem is the major deficit in storage capacity compared to Bulgaria.
