Oana Zoiu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, sent a message of solidarity towards Ukraine, in the context of recent Russian attacks on the capital Kiev. These attacks targeted energy infrastructure, schools, and residential areas, leaving dozens of victims and parts of the city without heating in the middle of winter.

Zoiu emphasized that these actions are part of a "campaign of terror" against Ukrainian civilians and reaffirmed Romania's support for Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity. At the same time, she criticized Russia for the unjust violence against the civilian population, in contrast to international efforts to negotiate peace. The attacks occurred before an important meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and American President Donald Trump, aimed at addressing the nearly four-year conflict.
