The electricity production of Romania significantly exceeded the consumption needs during the Christmas mini-holiday, especially due to the strong winds that activated the wind turbines. On Sunday, at 12:06, Romania exported 2,555 MW, representing 32.2% of the total production, under conditions of reduced consumption typical of holidays. Romania was, on most of these days, a net exporter of energy. The exports on that day rank 7th in the list of the largest exports in the last 13 months, with a peak of 2,900 MW recorded on March 23.
