Nicușor Dan: Romania becomes a founding member of the future Bank for Defense, Security and Resilience

President Nicușor Dan announced that Romania has joined the states that signed the declaration of intent for the establishment of the Defense, Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB), a new multilateral financial institution coordinated by Canada.

Nicușor Dan stated that this institution will support member states in financing investments in the field of defense and security. The new bank will facilitate access to capital, reduce financing costs, and support the development of industrial capabilities, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Romania will have founding member status and will host one of the regional offices of the Bank.

The announcement was made on the first day of the NATO summit in Ankara.
