The Minister of Internal Affairs of Romania, Cătălin Predoiu, had a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Ali Yerlikaya, in which they established that ensuring enhanced security in the Black Sea is a strategic priority for both countries.

The two officials emphasized the importance of strengthening operational cooperation to promote a safe and stable environment in the region. During the discussion, they assessed the state of collaboration in the field of internal affairs, both bilaterally and multilaterally, and reaffirmed their commitment to combating cross-border crime, illegal migration, and other threats to the security of citizens. They also agreed to maintain a constant dialogue and to continue joint efforts to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
