In a press conference, the interim foreign minister, Oana Ţoiu, stated that Romania considers Russia responsible for the drones shot down in national airspace, emphasizing that the country does not accept such manifestations. Ţoiu mentioned that Romania has adopted a firm position, summoning the Russian ambassador to present the fragments of the downed drone, confirming that it is of Russian origin.

“The message we should send to Russia is the one we conveyed throughout yesterday: the drone belongs to them, the responsibility belongs to them, Romania does not accept this,” said Oana Ţoiu.

She also highlighted the constant support from NATO, reaffirming Romania's commitment to defend its borders. Additionally, a military cooperation agreement was signed between Romania, Turkey, and Bulgaria to strengthen security in the Black Sea. Ţoiu mentioned allied solidarity, exemplified by the arrival of Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft from Italy, which contributed to the defense of Romanian airspace.
