Robert Negoiță went to INML to be tested for drugs, after he tested positive for cocaine in a rapid test.

The suspended mayor of Sector 3, Robert Negoiță, went on Thursday to the National Institute of Legal Medicine (INML) for tests after he tested positive for cocaine in a rapid anti-drug test conducted in the hallway of the Bucharest Tribunal, where his appeal regarding judicial control is being judged, according to Digi24 and Cotidianul.

We remind that Robert Negoiță accepted on Thursday to be tested for drugs after the protester Marian Ceaușescu handed him a rapid test. The test came back positive for cocaine.

"It's nonsense. I have never consumed," Negoiță stated upon leaving the Tribunal.

Later, he went to the National Institute of Legal Medicine "Mina Minovici" (INML) to provide a urine sample. The result is expected in the coming days.

Expert Vlad Zaha emphasized, for Digi24.ro, that the result of this type of rapid anti-drug test is not conclusive, in the sense that it has "too high error rates".

Additionally, Marian Ceaușescu applied a similar test to the mayor of sector 4, Daniel Băluță, which came back positive, but the result was later invalidated at the hospital.
