On February 27, the residents of Tulcea County were alerted through a RO-ALERT message, this being the fourth warning since Wednesday evening, amid the conflict in Ukraine. The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) informed that radars detected a drone in Ukrainian airspace, heading towards the north of Tulcea County, but without entering Romanian airspace. Following this detection, air defense systems were activated, and at 07:17 the warning message was issued. Shortly after, the state of alert was lifted, and MApN emphasized that it constantly monitors the airspace in collaboration with NATO allies to ensure the safety of Romania. It is also mentioned that, a day earlier, a drone entered national airspace, which led to the scramble of four fighter jets.
