A young mother from Prahova County gave birth at home, without medical assistance, and a neighbor called 112 for help. An operator from the ISU-SAJ Dispatch Center took the call and guided the neighbor, providing essential instructions to ensure the safety of the mother and the newborn. The nurse simultaneously alerted first aid crews and the SMURD ambulance, remaining connected on the phone with the caller.
She provided advice on how to keep the baby warm and how to cut the umbilical cord. Upon the arrival of the crews, the mother was exhausted, but both the mother and the baby were assessed and safely transported to the hospital, now out of any danger.
