Sections of the A7 motorway, especially between Ploiești and Focșani, have been under repair since February 11, 2026, due to technical issues, including detached markers and asphalt subsidence.

Starting from February 11, 2026, several sections of the A7 highway have entered repairs due to identified technical issues, such as detached anti-glare beacons and asphalt subsidence. The works, carried out by the contractor under warranty, particularly target lots 1 and 2 on the Buzău – Vadu Pașii – Râmnicu Sărat segment.

The Buzău Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges reported various malfunctions, including displaced sound-absorbing panels and issues with stormwater drainage systems. Temporary traffic restrictions have been imposed in the Buzău and Vrancea counties to allow for repairs. It is also expected that by the end of 2026, the Moldova Highway will be extended to Pașcani, having a total length of 450 kilometers, providing a safer alternative to DN2.
