Ioana Bulcă died at the age of 89, an emblematic figure of Romanian theater and film. She worked for over four decades at the Bucharest National Theatre, playing memorable roles such as Midia in "Zodia Fecioarei" and Doamna Stanca in "Mihai Viteazul". She has won numerous awards, including the Gopo Award for Best Actress in 2008.
