The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced that the regional hospitals in Craiova and Iași are following the construction schedule and could be completed by the end of 2028. The project in Cluj, however, is facing delays due to legal challenges, and the authorities are awaiting a final decision from the court.

Rogobete emphasized that Romania currently has 22 construction sites, most of which are funded by European funds. In Craiova, the works are progressing rapidly, without challenges, while in Iași, the delays have been caused by litigation, but the project remains close to schedule. In the coming period, procedures will begin for the procurement of medical equipment, correlated with the construction stage. In Craiova, the bidding for equipment will start in the summer, thus ensuring that the hospitals will be ready for operation immediately after completion.
