The National Institute of Hydrology has warned about the risks of flash floods and flooding, with a red alert valid until Saturday afternoon, targeting rivers in the counties of Mehedinți, Dolj, Vâlcea, and Olt. Additionally, an orange alert will be active from Friday morning, and a yellow flood alert will come into effect on Thursday, covering several hydrographic basins. Significant runoff and increases in flow rates are expected on various rivers, which may lead to rapid flooding.
