In a message posted on Facebook, Deputy Raluca Turcan accused the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) of double standards, emphasizing that the institution quickly self-seized for a political statement, while it delayed the approval on the issue of special pensions. Turcan expressed concern that this practice undermines public trust in the CSM, an essential institution for Romanian democracy. She also mentioned that the positions of the CSM seem to be in line with those of the PSD, suggesting a dangerous confusion between justice and political interests. The deputy emphasized that the CSM should focus on the integrity of the judicial system and the fair application of the law, not align itself with political discourse.
