Police and prosecutors conducted 11 searches in Dâmbovița County, in a criminal case targeting the illegal introduction of firearms and ammunition from Turkey.

The action is coordinated by prosecutors from the Criminal Investigation Section of the Prosecutor's Office next to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, focusing on offenses such as violation of the weapons and ammunition regime, as well as qualified smuggling. The investigations are centered on a physical person suspected of having brought lethal weapons into the country, which were stored in Dâmbovița and subsequently sold. The operation is supported by several police structures, including the Organized Crime Fighting Service and the Special Intervention Brigade of the Gendarmerie.
