The police and prosecutors conducted searches in Galați, Dolj, Ilfov, and Olt, detaining 5 individuals suspected of child pornography.

The police of the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, together with DIICOT prosecutors, carried out an operation against 5 individuals suspected of child pornography.

They allegedly accessed and purchased pornographic materials involving minors through groups on a messaging platform, until September 2025. Following 5 home searches in the counties of Galați, Dolj, Ilfov, and Olt, 47 data storage devices and other relevant evidence were confiscated.

On September 1, 2026, prosecutors ordered the detention of the 5 suspects, and today their preventive arrest was proposed. The operation was supported by gendarmes, and the individuals under investigation are entitled to the procedural rights provided by law.
