Radu Miruță, the USR Minister of Defense, warned during a broadcast on Digi24 that abandoning the reforms initiated in the current coalition would equate to a betrayal of the electorate and society. He emphasized that USR joined the coalition to clean up the irregularities within institutions and to eliminate administrative blockages. Miruță stated that a change in direction would mean a return to harmful political practices, and such a decision would affect voters' trust.

Criticizing the internal tensions within PSD, he stated that the current political crisis is a test for political leaders. Miruță mentioned that USR is prepared for early elections if the consultations do not lead to results. He emphasized that halting reforms could lead to the loss of Romania's international advantage.
