The interim Minister of Defense, Radu Miruţă, declared on Sunday, regarding the negotiations for forming a new government, that there is a need for a new government and USR has said that it supports remaining in power through a rotation, in which PNL-USR and UDMR would be first and then PSD, with PSD ministers and all decisions with them.
"There is a need for a new government, there is a need for a government with full powers, but in the last four months, this interim government has not had ministers who put their feet on the table and waited for the interim to pass, but had some people who worked and showed that Romania's interests are carried forward with great skill, with great seriousness. I have said that we support remaining in power through a rotation. It is an open matter, it is an honest matter, there are, I don't know, two and a half years, three years until the next elections. Proportionally to how many votes PSD received, how many votes PNL, USR, UDMR received, we will govern this period according to the proportion of votes obtained and we will only govern this period, only PSD the other period. Why is even this not wanted? And there is another question that PSD does not answer. What justifies PSD to lead this country alone, with 20%? They try all sorts of contortions through Parliament, with remnants of parliamentarians from all sorts of parties (..) Imagine a CSAT with members who are pro Russian Federation," said the interim Minister of Defense, Radu Miruţă, on Digi24.
