At an international event dedicated to defense technologies, the Minister of National Defense, Radu Miruță, stated that the Romanian Army has been, for years, just a client, which creates a dangerous strategic situation. He emphasized that healthy countries invest in their armies to deter possible threats, not to attack.

Miruță highlighted the precarious state of production infrastructure, mentioning that in the halls designated for weapon production, it rains and trees grow. He proposed that the Romanian state impose strict conditions on companies wishing to receive funding, so that they can develop internal production capacities. The minister insisted on the need to transform these halls into modern production units, with assembly lines and advanced technology. This approach is essential to ensure effective national defense.
