This measure comes in response to meetings with representatives of the cement industry in Romania, who have signaled unfair competition from imports from non-EU neighboring countries, which are not subject to the same environmental regulations and carbon taxes. Miruța emphasized that Romania, being a border country of the EU, has a different economic specificity and must be treated fairly in relation to other member states.
