Defense Minister Radu Miruță accused the PSD of taking over a legislative project initiated by USR regarding the energy sector, a project submitted in 2022 and rejected by the PSD-PNL majority. Miruță emphasized that PSD parliamentarians copied USR's proposals, which demonstrates that they are valuable. The project, which prohibits the closure of coal energy sources without alternatives, was reintroduced in Parliament by the PSD in the context of protests in Gorj County. Although USR will vote for the project, Miruță criticized the Ministry of Energy for adopting an ordinance that allows the closure of coal capacities without alternative solutions, highlighting the contradiction with the legislative initiative currently under discussion.
