The Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, will present on Monday the proposals for the leadership positions of the Prosecutor's Office next to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA), and the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT).
The selection took place between January 8 and March 2, involving 18 candidates. Among the proposals for the position of Attorney General are Cristina Chiriac and Bogdan-Ciprian Pîrlog, while for the deputy position, Marius I. Voineag. At DNA, Tatiana Toader, Vlad Grigorescu, and Ioan-Viorel Cerbu are among the candidates for chief prosecutor, while Mihai Prună and Marinela Mincă are for deputy. DIICOT will have proposals such as Ioana-Bogdana Albani and Antonia Diaconu for chief prosecutor.
The proposals will be sent to the Superior Council of Magistracy for advisory opinion. The positions have been vacant since March and April, and candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the field.
