Justice Minister Radu Marinescu said Romania is considering tougher punishments for violence against women, including criminalizing femicide, similar to Italian legislation. He underlined the importance of implementing a European directive targeting domestic violence and cyber-bullying. He also emphasized the need for interdisciplinary cooperation to effectively enforce existing legislation and prevent such acts by informing victims about their rights and options.
